QAR 1,000 basic per month, plus QAR 500 food and QAR 500 accommodation allowances where the employer does not provide them.

The Wage Protection System is the mandatory electronic salary-transfer system; all employers must pay salaries in full and on time through approved banks.

An employee with at least one year of service is entitled to a gratuity of no less than three weeks' basic wage for each year of service, based on the last basic salary. A contract can give more, but never less.

At least three weeks of paid annual leave a year for employees with less than five years of service, rising to four weeks after five years.
