General Tax Authority Extends Application Deadline for Financial Penalty Exemption Initiative Until 31 December 2025

The General Tax Authority (GTA) has extended the 100% financial penalty exemption initiative until December 31, 2025, in response to significant demand from taxpayers.

Over 7,000 taxpayers have received penalty relief worth approximately 1.6 billion QAR, with more than 56,000 tax returns submitted covering filings from 2014-2024.

This extension provides additional time for taxpayers to benefit from the initiative and regularize their tax status. The GTA encourages all eligible taxpayers to take advantage of this opportunity before the new deadline.
